NaNo Day 25, Part 2

42,059 words written, less than 8,000 to go. I think I may have misjudged my ending and may end the story before I hit 50,000. But that’s okay. If that happens, I will just think of other parts of the story that need beefing up and start writing those out. So far, this has been a linear process, but in reality, there is no rule that says it has to be. It is just as acceptable to write the big tentpole scenes first, then write the smaller ones having a better idea of what is to come. I have always been a linear type of writer though. A lot of that comes from usually being a pantser, with little to no planning. That may change now that I’ve been studying structure more. We’ll see. Five more days, and an average of about 1,600 words a day will get me to the finish line.
