Echoes, Day 11

Hit 5,000 words this morning, and managed to do edits on another chapter. I’m a little behind on my daily word count, but I’m hoping to catch up this weekend. It’s amazing how a story can completely change by making a small modification. I originally had the story take place in the present (sort of, it’s 2006) with flashbacks to 1995 interspersed. I decided instead to tell the story chronologically. Start with 1995 for the first act, then move to 2006 for Acts 2 and 3. I really like the way the first part is coming out. I think it’s coming out stronger, and by getting to see the characters as their young selves first, we get to enjoy their relative innocence before the big, bad author makes their lives miserable.
