Good morning, and you may have noticed there was no blog post for yesterday. I decided to give my brain a chance to absorb all my ideas as well as all my learning for a day, before getting serious on my writing today. But I was not completely idle.
I watched The Help yesterday. Both Larry Brooks and Jessica Brody classify it as a perfect example of a well-written book/movie, so I wanted to see it for myself, analyze it and see what I could learn from it. It was indeed an excellent movie, and a part of me thought, “Well, there’s no way I can write something that good.” But another part of me thought, “Maybe not, but what I can write is what nobody else can.” So, I wrote this morning. The first thousand words of Echoes has been written. Again. But this time, with a plan in mind.
