Nothing like a word count tracker to keep you honest about your goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Had a ridiculous breakthrough this evening, though, as I was writing. It&#8217;s moments like this that I love. A core concept of this novel has bugged me from the outset. It was something I tried to fix in different ways, but nothing seemed satisfying. But then, today, I realized I knew how to fix it. I knew how to remove that problem and make the novel work. And this has given me a renewed belief that I can get this thing published. It&#8217;s a good story.
