To go back to my road trip metaphor, I am missing a chunk of my map. I have a vague idea of the direction I want to travel, but no idea what roads to take to get there. I am going to have to stop at some point and see if I can fill in that missing chunk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing I&#8217;m hoping will help is a book that just arrived in the mail today. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Story-Engineering-Larry-Brooks\/dp\/1582979987\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Story-Engineering-Larry-Brooks\/dp\/1582979987\" target=\"_blank\">Story Engineering, by Larry Brooks.<\/a> It has great guidance on setting up the landmarks for your story, so that you have a better idea of your journey.
